Tables with views

Mr Pamsperambulation and I have just come back from Corsica.  In four weeks time we will celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary, and this was our treat to ourselves.  We toyed with lots of places around the world, but we didn’t want to go somewhere where there were lots of other people – “all-inclusive” and 750 rooms is not what we were looking for.  Then it came to us.  Corsica is about the only place in France we haven’t been to, and wanted to.  So…

… we have spent the week in Mon Cabonon.  Wow!

There is much I could tell you, but perhaps to return to one of my first loves, I’ll show you in tables – and the views from them.

Porto Vecchio Harbour. A coffee and a crepe. Hello France!

The view from our table on our balcony. What a scene to enjoy with your breakfast

Morning Coffee in Ospedale

Lunch on the beach at San Cyprien

I would say you should go and see Corsica for yourself, but you must promise not to spoil the secret.

The fabulous scenery of Corsica reminded us of one of the readings we had at our wedding, that has always been special to us:

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
